Since April 2023, Sudan has been torn apart by brutal conflict and relentless violence, creating one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters.
Entire cities lie in ruins. Families have fled with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Children are going hungry, and aid is struggling to reach those trapped by fighting.

A Country in Collapse: Millions Forced to Flee

The war has caused the largest displacement crisis on earth.
More than 15 million people (over half of them children) have been driven from their homes, seeking safety in overcrowded camps.

These camps are overwhelmed. Food is scarce. Clean water and healthcare are almost non-existent.
Famine is spreading rapidly. Families are surviving on a single meal a day. Sometimes just a few scraps of bread or boiled leaves.

Across Sudan, there are heartbreaking reports of mass killings, sexual violence, and civilians buried alive.
Diseases like cholera and dengue fever are surging as families struggle without basic sanitation or medical care.

Sudan on the Brink of Famine

Watan’s emergency teams are witnessing unimaginable suffering.
In makeshift clinics, children arrive so malnourished they can barely stand.
Farmers cannot access their land due to attacks, and food convoys are looted on the roads. Prices for basic goods have more than doubled, pushing millions deeper into hunger.

The situation is worsening by the day. Families are out of food, out of options, and running out of time.
